Hey there,

My name is Elise, owner and founder of SweetLee Creative Co. I am a Kansas City native and am so glad to call this little big city, in the heart of America, my home. I attended the University of Central Missouri where I earned my BFA in Graphic Design. I have worked as a professional designer for more than 10 years and have loved creating custom designed pieces for my clients during that time.

In 2012, I married my high school sweetheart and since then, we have welcomed our fur baby Murphy and our two sweet boys to our family. I am so grateful for their loving support and am proud of what that allows me to accomplish.

Thank you for visiting my site. I hope to work with you soon on creating your one-of-a kind custom designed piece.

My Story

As a child, I knew that as an adult I wanted to do something creative. I loved working with my hands, painting, sewing, cooking, writing stories, etc. I was the product of many creative minds in my ancestry and my imagination has been one of my greatest inheritances. I am so thankful for the creative gifts they have passed down to me and how it has shaped the way I look at the world around me. In high school I developed skills in painting and drawing and as I formed a plan for my future, I knew I wanted those things to play a role in it. I'm so thankful for those early experiences with my teachers and their encouragement for my pursuit of art and design as a career. I enrolled in the University of Central Missouri's Commercial Art program and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design. That same year I planned my own wedding and designed all of the paper products for it. I have worked as a professional graphic designer since, and have enjoyed creating and crafting many event invitations and decor pieces for friends and family on the side. In 2020 a dream of mine to stay home with my children came true, while at the same time, the idea of my dream to own my own design business started to take shape. It has been a slow process which I'm thankful for, as it has allowed me to focus on and cherish the sweet fleeting moments I have with my children while they are young. It is now my passion to help others create and add a greater level of aesthetic appeal to all their special events and even their own small business pursuits. I'm always excited to begin my next project and hope that soon it will be yours. Thank you for considering me for the opportunity to be a small part of your dreams coming true.
